Sickness part of the package at Holiday Village Aliathon?

Just two months since we reported that a wedding party of 16 was struck by food poisoning symptoms at Holiday Village Aliathon, we have been contacted by yet more sickness stricken Holiday Village guests.

Our legal experts recently spoke with an afflicted holidaymaker who claims that sickness and diarrhoea is simply rife at the resort. The holidaymaker adds that the hotel swimming pool was frequently contaminated with faecal matter yet never appeared to be cleaned properly.

Recent reviews on TripAdvisor agree that swimming pool hygiene was a particular cause for concern.

âDay 2 I got an eye infection due to the temperature of the pool and later in the holiday I got an ear infection along with 7 other people,â writes an August 2016 guest.

Alarmingly, the afflicted holidaymaker claims that a child was admitted to hospital owing to the severity of the infections.

Another guest describes the main pool as a âlovely spaceâ but expresses great concern that âin the two weeks we stayed we never saw the pool side area properly cleaned – in fact right outside our studio leaves, drinks cups and other rubbish remained until we picked it up.â

Food hygiene has also been highlighted in recent weeks as worrying with one guest finding âdead flies on cold repetitive food.â
