Here at Your Holiday Claims we’ve been reading reports of holidaymakers falling ill during their stay at the Hammamet Regency Hotel in Tunisia.
Guests have recently taken to Trip Advisor to review the three star Hotel, with one guest stating it was their “worst holiday ever”.
Another guest said: “I had a bad stomach, sometimes I couldn’t leave my hotel room. Then my partner became ill for the best part of the holiday, which made us lethargic and we just went to bed early hoping for a better day”.
One guest reviewed their stay back in February and said: “Me and my husband stayed at the Hotel Regency in February 2015 for a week and thank goodness it was only a week!
“Please believe all the negative reviews about this hotel, they are all true. The hotel is nice enough for a 3 star hotel but the food is average/poor, it’s all served lukewarm and one of the guests came down with food poisoning from uncooked chicken. I stuck to eating salad, vegetables and pizza.”
And another guest made note of the “dirty beach” and “disgusting” food in their review.
Tracy Stanfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented on the reports: “It is always of concern to hear of a holiday ruined by illness.
“If there are poor food and hygiene standards, there is a risk of holidaymakers becoming unwell.
“I would encourage anyone affected by illness at the Hammamet Regency Hotel to contact myself or a member of our expert holiday claims team. We are available to answer any questions you may have on the claims process and to offer any advice you may need.”
