We continue to be aware of outbreaks of sickness at Holiday Village Algarve

It has now been more than 6 months since we first reported on outbreaks of illness at the Holiday Village Algarve in Portugal.

Despite this, holidaymakers are still contacting our holiday claims experts in relation to holidays ruined by illness in the summer of 2014. Many have found that after contacting their tour operator directly, they were offered settlements which could have left them woefully undercompensated.

The Holiday Village Algarve is promoted and run by the tour operator First Choice alongside their Holiday Village range of hotels. In May 2014, we were contacted by holidaymakers affected by gastric illnesses and skin rashes.

This continued throughout the summer months, with holidaymakers experiencing “sickness bugs” and “food poisoning”.
