British holidaymakers have reported being left requiring medical treatment on holiday after they were affected by suspected food poisoning at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa.
Numerous recent visitors to the resort in Mexico have commented on TripAdvisor after experiencing symptoms including sickness and diarrhoea.
We have previously reported on outbreaks of sickness at the Thomas Cook promoted resort in October 2014 after we were contacted by a holidaymaker who contracted salmonella food poisoning during their stay.
In recent weeks, a guest who had travelled to the resort to celebrate a wedding commented: âOut of 18 people at the wedding, 14 came down with diarrhoea after 3 days and had it for 6 days.
âThe rooms are nice, the beach is pretty but the food is not very good.â
Another holidaymaker reported that both they and their partner were affected by âfood poisoningâ. They added the âdoctor confirmed it was food poisoningâ before administering âantibioticsâ.
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âWe are concerned to see the continuing reports of illness at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa.
âFalling ill on holiday can be a distressing experience, especially when medical attention is required in a foreign country.
âI would encourage anyone who has fallen ill on holiday in the last three years to contact myself or a member of our expert holiday claims team for advice on whether they may be able to make a no win no fee claim for compensation.â
