âI have been speaking with a number of holidaymakers and I am being told that Thomson are pro-actively ringing their customers and making offers in respect of holidays spoilt by illness.
âWhilst I give credit to Thomson for acknowledging the problems at the Stil Victoria Playa, I would warn holidaymakers not to accept any offer without first taking legal advice.
âThe offers I have been told about are far too low and totally undercompensate those adults and children for their illnesses, their lost holiday and loss of holiday enjoyment.Â Thomson are trying their best to buy off potential claims as quickly as possible and this is simply not right.
âHolidaymakers who have only just returned from holiday may not be fully recovered and it is impossible for Thomson to properly consider what an individuals claim is worth.Â Even in cases where a person may be fully recovered, from what I am hearing, the claims are not being assessed properly.
âIf anyone has been ill and not yet been contacted by Thomson, contact us now for advice. If you have been contacted, do notÂ accept any offer until you have taken legal advice and, even if you have accepted an offer and received a cheque, do notÂ bank it until you have spoken to either myself of one of my team of travel law solicitors.
