The YHC team are investigating reports made by recently returning holidaymakers who have visited the ClubHotel RIU Vistamar, that suggest there has been some sort of illness outbreak within the hotel.

Recently posted reviews on the website TripAdvisor show that holidaymakers have been left disappointed with their visit at the Spanish resort, after having their stay marred by illness.

One holidaymaker revealed:

“Watch out for a vomiting & diarrhoea bug”

“My daughter [whos] 13 went down with a violent tummy bug and was sick quite a few times along with diarrhoea which still hasnt gone fully 2 days after coming home.

“Our Swedish friends have just text us to say their daughter has gone down with it tonight.

“Speaking to another guest [and] his wife was laid up with it”.

Unfortunately, it appears that even more holidaymakers have been struck with this illness bug, as another guest claimed:

“[My husband] became very sick with vomiting and diarrhoea to the point where he was not able to hold down water”

“By reading past reviews it is an ongoing issue in this hotel”.

Additional reports convey that guests have also raised concerns regarding the hotels handling of the illness, with one holidaymaker stating that “Thomson and RIU are shrugging it off”.
