Holiday illness at Jungle Aqua Park
Your Holiday Claims recently spoke with a British holidaymaker who claims to have been hospitalised for a number of days with severe stomach cramps and fever following a ruined stay at Jungle Aqua Park.
The stricken guest reports that his return to health has been slow as he has remained plagued by repeat illness symptoms and developed intolerances to certain foods.
In recent weeks, complaints of illness and poor hygiene standards at Jungle Aqua Park have been mounting on hotel review site TripAdvisor.
One London holidaymaker claims that his family of 5 âall got sickâ during their stay with âviolent diarrhoea and vomiting.â He claims that the illness was âunsurprisingâ as hotel food appeared to be âregurgitatedâ throughout the day:
âThe food is the same at breakfast lunch & dinner, just with a slight variant. potato wedges from lunch become hong kong…?! style potatoes in the evening.â
Another recent guest states that they were severely ill during their stay and âhad to be put on a drip.â The afflicted holidaymaker describes their stay at the resort as the âworst stay,â vowing to never return.
Unfortunately, Your Holiday Claims know only too well that outbreaks of illness are no strangers to guests at Jungle Aqua Park. Throughout 2015, we received instructions from a number of holidaymakers whose Egyptian escapes were devastated by illness symptoms such as sickness, diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
Anne Thomson, head of travel law at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âIt is deeply saddening to hear of yet more holidays being ruined by illness at Jungle Aqua Park
âUnfortunately in all-inclusive package holiday resorts abroad, poor food and hygiene standards are often the cause of widespread outbreaks and people falling ill.â
âIllness outbreaks in foreign counties such as Egypt are often caused by unsanitary conditions, food being served undercooked or reheated, food being left open uncovered and in some cases, outbreaks can be as a result of swimming pools not being cleaned or maintained properly.â
âI would urge anyone else who may have been taken ill during their stay at this resort to get in touch with either myself directly, or a member of the holiday illness claims department to receive professional legal advice and help to claim the compensation that they may be entitled to.â
