“Travellers diarrhoea” reported at the Sonesta Beach, Sharm El Sheikh

In July, Your Holiday Claims reported on illness at the Sonesta Beach in Sharm El Sheikh. Disappointingly holidaymakers appear still to becoming ill.

Complaints have been made on TripAdvisor regarding the food, one holidaymaker said “If you like food, dont go!”

Others have said that the food was “terrible” and the cause of the “travellers diarrhoea,” which they contracted and which continued for six days.

One couple tried the a la carte restaurants at the Sonesta beach and said “the Casablanca was very nice, but again, the other half had some belly issues after. The Tandoori was also nice….at a cost.”

Reviewers appear to be disappointed with the hotel and have said “the hotel is supposed to be a 5 star, it is 2-3 star at best in my opinion.”

Holidaymakers have suggested “a new menu, food hygiene course for the chefs and new equipment at the buffet restaurants.”
