Yet more reports of norovirus on the Thomson Dream
- Passengers suffer from symptoms of norovirus
- “Lukewarm” and “substandard” food described on-board
- More and more holidaymakers turn to Your Holiday Claims for advice
Just two months after we first reported that norovirus was sweeping the decks on Thomson’s Dream cruise ship, YourHolidayClaims are learning of yet further reports of sickness and diarrhoea ruining stays on board Thomson’s 757 cabin ship.
Disgruntled passengers have taken to review site Cruise Critic to warn others of the situation on board.
“Dream cruise has norovirus” writes one passenger during an early 2016 cruise.
In another report, one former passenger disclosed:
“The ship was renamed Thomson Nightmare by a lot of customers.
“Food in the self-service was poor, like school dinners and the only thing you could guarantee would be hot was soup and porridge”.
In addition to this, reports of “lukewarm” and “substandard” food served are common online.
If you’ve been affected by norovirus abroad, you can find out how our legal experts can help you make a norovirus claim here.
Our experienced solicitors’ take
“Illness has now been reported on board the Dream cruise ship stretching over a three-month period.
“I am most concerned by this pattern of repeat outbreaks and hope that Thomson acts quickly to remedy the situation. It is well known that norovirus can spread incredibly quickly on cruise ships as a large number of guests share the same facilities.
“Our helpline at YourHolidayClaims remains open to anyone who has suffered from illness within the last three years on board a cruise ship break”.
