In a post titled “SALMONELLA poisoning – DO NOT stay here”, one recent guest of the Thomas Cook promoted resort revealed:

“Im currently sitting at the hospital with my 3-year-old daughter, who has been admitted because her stool results came back positive with salmonella.

“She picked it up at this hotel on the week of Dec. 11-Dec. 19. I dont normally write reviews but I wanted to warn everyone of this risk.

“[There is] not enough room to write about our terrible experience at this hotel. This is just the cherry on top.

“If someone told me I won a free trip to go this place again, I wouldnt even consider it for a second.


Furthermore, unnervingly additional holidaymakers have also claimed to have fallen victim to illness whilst staying at the Sunscape Bavaro Beach Punta Cana. Another holidaymaker claimed that hotel staff needed to be more “careful” when preparing food, before adding:

“[The] resort was nice. But on day three I got sick and am still not well.

“[I] went to the hospital here to see what was going on. Just found out today it was salmonella poisoning.

“[Im] not impressed by this. [Ive] never had an issue like this before from a resort, this makes me so angry because it is completely preventable. [We] will not go back”.
