Norovirus on board Ms Oosterdam?
Your Holiday Claims are reading concerning reports of sickness on board the Holland America Line, Ms Oosterdam.
According to latest reports, up to 104 passengers and crew are thought to have been affected by the outbreak during a 15-day cruise which departed from Rome on 3rd November 2016.
The CDC suspects that the virulent viral infection, norovirus, may be the âcausative agentâ and is currently analysing samples taken from stricken passengers after the ship docked in Tampa on 18th November.
Your Holiday Claims regularly hear from and successfully settle claims for passengers struck by norovirus on board cruise ships. In 2014, experienced solicitor Tracy Stansfield, secured a staggering £42, 500 total pay-out for 26 holidaymakers struck by the vomiting virus on Fred Olsens Boudicca liner.
Commenting on the reports of illness on board Ms Oosterdam, Tracy said: âAt Your Holiday Claims we know only too well just how debilitating the symptoms of norovirus can be.
âSickness and diarrhoea are not only unpleasant but can completely ruin a cruise ship holiday as those affected are often confined to their cabins to recover.
âI would encourage any British holidaymakers who have been unfortunate enough to experience such symptoms on a cruise ship holiday within the last three years to come forward and contact Your Holiday Claims.
