Suspected food poisoning at the Radisson Blu Resort in Egypt

At Your Holiday Claims we have recently received an enquiry from a holidaymaker who required hospital treatment after falling ill at the Radisson Blu Resort in Egypt.

The holidaymaker reported contracting suspected food poisoning during their stay resulting in symptoms including sickness and diarrhoea.

Others who have stayed at the Radisson Blu Resort have commented on TripAdvisor, complaining of poor food and hygiene standards.

One holidaymaker stated that they were served “leftovers from dinner” whilst others have required medication during their stay.

A hotel guest from Walsall commented: “I did have stomach cramps for five out of the seven days which was diagnosed as bacterial gastroenteritis and I was given a cocktail of antibiotics.”

Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, said of the reports of illness: “From the enquiry we have received and the reports we have read online, it does appear that holidaymakers are becoming ill.

“It is always important that high food and hygiene standards are maintained within all-inclusive hotels. Food which is undercooked or contaminated by bacteria can cause serious gastric illness with symptoms such as sickness, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea.

“I hope that the tour operator and hotel management will investigate the reports of illness at the Radisson Blu Resort, in order to prevent any further spread of illness.
