The newly opened Royalton Riviera Hotel, Cancun, leaves holidaymakers suffering alleged E.coli

Here at Your Holiday Claims, we have received an enquiry from a holidaymaker who suffered from an alleged case of food poisoning at Royalton Riviera Cancun in Mexico.

The British holidaymaker, who stayed at the resort with a party of 6, reported the whole group became sick following their stay and doctors have advised that E.Coli could be the cause.

Several other guests of the hotel are currently reporting exceptionally poor hygiene and maintenance standards at the newly opened First Choice Premier hotel.

A recent holidaymaker posted on TripAdvisor: “This was supposed to be a long 10 day family vacation. Instead it was a nightmare.

“The pool was dangerous, sloping falling apart and the material used caused numerous accidents.

“The buffet smelled so bad it was hard to eat. We ordered room service to get away from the smell. The entire place had a horrible smell, that we later found out was sewage.”

The five star hotel, a part of Royalton Luxury Resorts, promises “as an all new hotel, you can expect a pristine pool and a modern dining scene”.

However recent guests are raising complaints that “swimming pools are missing tiles” and “the food is the exact same, every single day”.
