We are reading reports of suspected E coli and Salmonella food poisoning at the Sunrise Makadi Bay Hotel in Egypt.
Thomas Cook advertises and promotes this hotel along with other tour operators.
One holidaymaker said on TripAdvisor: âWe had food poisoning from the Mediterranean restaurant and nothing helped to treat it until we got a medicine to treat salmonella and e-coli. The customer services didnt do anything about it and said its the climate, although we go to tropical countries every summer and never had such problems.â
Anne Thomson, Head of the Holiday Illness Claims Department at YourHolidayClaims, a division of Farnworth Rose solicitors said: âWe have handled previous claims from holidaymakers who have become ill at this hotel and it is worrying to see the Sunrise Makadi under the spotlight again for all the wrong reasons.
âSalmonella and E coli can have devastating effects on holidaymakers and are often contracted when food and hygiene are poor. Holidaymakers who become ill at hotels which are booked as part of a package holiday can contact us for free legal advice and we can help them bring a claim against the tour operator in the UK.â
