British holidaymakers are reporting falling ill on holiday at the Xperience Sea Breeze Resort in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
Visitors to the hotel have reported suffering sickness and diarrhoea during their stay and have commented on the hotel review website TripAdvisor about  requiring medical treatment .
A hotel guest from Aberdeenshire commented: âUnfortunately I took ill on the last couple of days of my holiday and had to make three trips to the doctor. I was not the only one â at least five other people were ill with the same issue I had whilst I was at this hotel.
âThe doctor (Michael) was great, he got me the meds I needed and the clinic was clean. Note to travellers â do not lose your or forget your holiday insurance certificate.
âWe lost ours and were told that without it my claim for expenses would be thrown out and I would need to pay medical costs upon check out.
Another holidaymaker reported losing a stone in weight after suffering diarrhoea upon their return home.
They said: âSince I have been home I have been ill with bad diarrhoea having to send sample to the hospital for test causing me to lose one stone in one week. â
âI am just starting to eat small amounts and I am still off work.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, said of the reports: âIt is concerning to read reports online of holidaymakers suffering illness sufficiently serious to require medical treatment.â
âIf anyone has suffered symptoms including sickness and diarrhoea at the Xperience Sea Breeze Resort it is important to seek medical attention as dehydration can be a potential problem.â
âI would urge anyone who has fallen ill on holiday to contact Your Holiday Claims for advice on how to make a successful claim for compensation. We can help you claim compensation for the illness you have suffered, loss of enjoyment of your holiday, and any out of pocket medical expenses you may have incurred.â
