Anne Thomson of Your Holiday Claims helps client receive £2,000 compensation for holiday illness

Mrs Smith of London travelled to the AA Awaj hotel, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt in June 2012.

During her stay at the resort, Mrs Smith suffered symptoms of food poisoning and had to seekÂ medical attention.

AA Awaj is advertised as a 5* all-inclusive luxurious hotel and resort. It features a selection of barsÂ and restaurants including an a la carte restaurant, 4 bars including 2 pool bars and 2 cafes.

A medical professional confirmed her symptoms were caused as a result of gastrointestinalÂ infection, an illness caused as a result of food poisoning.
