A British family have successfully received £3,500 in holiday illness compensation after their stay at Perdikia Hill Resort in Turkey was ruined by “uncontrollable vomiting” and gastric illness.

Rodney Ballard, from Leicester, contacted experts at Your Holiday Claims for specialist legal advice after he and his daughter, Sarah Ballard, were taken ill with symptoms of sickness, diarrhoea and stomach cramps whilst holidaying at Perdikia Hill Resort in Hisaronu, Turkey.

Mr Ballard had planned a one week all-inclusive stay at the Thomas Cook resort with his family of 3 and looked forward to a host of excursions to celebrate the 30th wedding anniversary of him and his wife Mrs Ballard.

Within hours of their arrival, the Leicestershire family were quickly alerted to poor hygiene standards at the resort and were horrified to witness birds, wasps and flies swarming the restaurant and feeding from the plates of hotel guests whilst they collected drinks from the bar.

Things got worse for the trio as Miss Ballard, 22, began suffering with crippling gastric illness, leaving the family forced to make countless trips to the local resort hospital for care and medical supplies.

Miss Ballard, who had never before required hospital care, suffered severely with illness and was hospitalised at the resort leaving worried mum Mrs Ballard to spend the night by her bedside.

Father Mr Ballard was unfortunately the next to fall ill, leaving the stricken family unable to enjoy the all-inclusive facilities they had saved and paid for and forced to cancel a number of excursions.

£3,500 Compensation Success for the Ballards

Upon returning to the UK, Miss Ballards recovery remained slow and Mr Ballard chose to contact travel law specialists at Your Holiday Claims for expert advice on pursuing a no win no fee claim.
