Illness outbreak at Grand Riviera Princess
The First Choice Premier Grand Riviera Princess is firmly under the sickness spotlight at Your Holiday Claims as recently returned guests claim to have suffered from acute sickness and diarrhoea during their stays.
Writing on hotel review site TripAdvisor, one guest, who stayed at the resort just this month, claims that the severity of the sickness outbreak cannot be underestimated after being hospitalised with âsevere dehydrationâ and questioned by the Ministry of Health.
In a particularly alarming comment, the stricken guest adds that this trip âalmost cost me my life ⦠had we waited a bit longer, things wouldn’t have turned out as well as they did. And I still have the diarrhoea.â
If you are experiencing illness symptoms such as sickness and diarrhoea and are currently on holiday at Grand Riviera Princess, you should report your symptoms to your tour operator as soon as you are able to. If you have been unwell for a number of days, or are experiencing any signs of dehydration, we would advise that you seek immediate medical attention.
Anne Thomson, head of travel law at Your Holiday Claims comments: âThe online reports of illness at Grand Riviera Princess are incredibly concerning.
âTour operators have a duty of care to ensure that holidaymakers receive only the highest standards of health, hygiene and safety on a package holiday. If they are found to be lacking in this duty, then a claim for compensation can be made.
âI would strongly urge anyone who has been unfortunate enough to fall ill at Grand Riviera Princess to come forward and seek legal advice by calling Your Holiday Claims on 0330 100 2851. We could help you receive compensation for the illness you suffered, loss of enjoyment and recoup costs for any out-of-pocket expenses.â
