Food poisoning at Sirenis Cala Llonga Resort
Recently returned holidaymakers are reporting to have suffered from an outbreak of food poisoning on holiday at the Thomson promoted Sirenis Cala llonga Resort.
According to a Glasgow holidaymaker on hotel review site TripAdvisor, her September 2016 stay at the Spanish resort turned into an âabsolute nightmareâ after both she and her brother became âextremely unwellâ in the resort.
The Scottish guest claims to have been bedridden and âunable to even touch any kind of food or drinkâ due to what she believes is âfood poisoningâ contracted at the hotel.
âWe’ve only eaten in this hotel â and ⦠because of this so we know for a fact no one else is to blame,â she adds.
Alarmingly, the stricken holidaymaker also claims to have witnessed âa young boy throwing up in his hands at his breakfast table,â suggesting that many more guests have been affected by the outbreak.
Other recent guests have raised concerns regarding the quality of food at the hotel with âlukewarmâ and ânot very goodâ used to describe the meals on offer.
Your Holiday Claims regularly successfully settle food poisoning on holiday compensation claims. Our head of travel law, Anne Thomson, recently secured £19,500 in damages for a family of 5 struck by salmonella on their much-anticipated Tunisian getaway.
Commenting on the reports of illness at Sirenis Cala Llonga Resort, Anne said: âI am concerned to learn that holidaymakers have suffered from illness at this resort.
âI am also concerned by the reports of poor food hygiene as it is well known that if food is kept at lukewarm temperatures, bacteria can multiply and grow, leading to serious illness such as food poisoning.
âI advise anyone who has suffered from illness symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea at Sirenis Cala Llonga resort within the last three years to contact either myself or the dedicated team at Your Holiday Claims for expert legal advice. We are only a phone call or click away.â
