Sol Dunas Resort continues to come under fire from frustrated holidaymakers

The YHC team have discovered further complaints which have been made by recent visitors of the Sol Dunas Resort, which suggest that illness outbreaks are continuing to hinder holidays at the Cape Verde hotel.
Commenting on TripAdvisor, one holidaymaker revealed that their trip to the Sol Dunas Resort was ruined after their daughter fell ill before adding:
âWe stayed over Christmas, and were unable to enjoy the holiday experience.
âOur daughter became ill on Christmas day and took 5 days to recover. We believe she picked this up from the Spices buffet, due to inconsistent food storage and temperatures.
âWe witnessed new food being placed on top of old food in the serving dishes on a number of occasionsâ.
 This news follows reports which our team uncovered back in the summer of last year, where a similar situation unfolded at the TUI promoted resort.
Speaking at this time, one frustrated poster revealed:
âThe food is at best lukewarm (not even warm and certainly not hot) and the best advice I can give is to only eat something that is cooked fresh in front of you.
âI genuinely believe they have a problem in the restaurant whether it be with quality of food or hygiene or whether it is the temperature the food is kept at because in a party of 9 of us only my 9 year old son was not taken ill.
âBetween all of us starting about 4/5 days into our holiday we were all ill with sickness and diarrhoea of some degree varying in severity so much so that I have been back now for 6 days and am still sufferingâ.
