TripAdvisor has recently been bombarded by several holiday makers who claim to have suffered sickness during their New Year stay at the Sol Cayo Guillermo.
One guest referred to their stay as âthe holiday from hellâ.
âThe moment we arrived at our hotel, I knew the holiday was going to be a disaster â the bed sheets were filthyâ he said. âEight of us in our family suffered sickness during our stay and couldnt stay off the toilet. It was made worse by reception who wouldnt supply toilet roll without prior consentâ.
âThe hotel wants shutting downâ he said. âI strongly advise thinking about changing your holiday if you have already booked to stay hereâ.
Another guest has criticised the food on offer at Sol Cayo Guillermo claiming âthe joint of meat on offer was inedibleâ. âThe pork was not cooked, at one point we mistook it for beef as it was so rare.â
One holiday maker concluded âIf this hotel was the only hotel in the world, we would never come here againâ.
