The dedicated travel law team here at YourHolidayClaims have been made aware of issues regarding illness at the Ohtels Villa Dorada hotel in Salou, Spain.
The problems came to our attention after discovering multiple reviews which had been made on website TripAdvisor by recent visitors of the resort.
One affected July 2017 guest described their stay at the Thomson promoted resort as “hit and miss”, before adding:
“The lifeguard spends a lot of time walking around chatting to the bar staff and sweeping water off the tiles around the pool.
“The tiles when wet are lethal. We saw at least 10 people go flying on them. One of the bar men had a bad fall and was off for almost a week.
“Towards the end of our holiday we all got ear infections from the pool and I heard other people complaining about the same”.
In addition to this another recent visitor of the Ohtels Villa Dorada revealed that their stay was also hindered by infections, as they commented:
“My husband as well as several other guests contracted infections(ear/chest/throat) and the only thing in common was use of the pool, which luckily I avoided using.
“Would I recommend coming here again?? Maybe if improvements were made”.
