Just a week since we reported that holidaymakers were advised not to use cutlery owing to a widespread sickness and diarrhoea outbreak at Paradise Island, we have received an enquiry relating to sickness at the Hotel RIO Playa Blanca, Paradise Island’s sister hotel.

Recent guests at Hotel RIO Playa Blanca have raised numerous concerns regarding food hygiene standards on review site TripAdvisor.

One July 2016 holidaymaker labels the three-star resort a “hell hole” and claims that the hotel is suffering from a “serious fly problem.”

“The food in the hotel was the worst ever … Very limited choice and You have to knock the flies off the bread before you get to it.”

Other recent guests report being served “raw” and “undercooked” meat on numerous occasions.
