Holidaymakers have reported outbreaks of sickness at the Iberostar Diar El Andalous in Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia.
Visitors who became ill whilst on holiday have commented on the review site TripAdvisor.
Thomas Cook promote Dial El Andalous for its âfantastic location on the beachâ¦the ultimate in relaxing holidaysâ.
However not everyone was happy. A disgruntled guest reported requiring antibiotics after falling ill. He stated, âBy the fifth day of my holiday I was fortunate enough to be prescribed antibiotics, by day nine I was starting to feel betterâ. He went on to say, âOn three separate occasions, I was served raw chicken â I believe this to be the reason I was violently illâ.
Another holidaymaker commented on the sickness saying: âOn the second night, my partner and I became very unwell with sickness and diarrhoea â symptoms persisted throughout our entire two week stay. Its not surprising when we witnessed the chef in the restaurant cough into his hands and proceed to handle pizzaâ.
Experienced solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, Tracy Stansfield, commented on the reports: âIts saddening to read reports of holidaymakers suffering sickness at Iberostar Diar El Andalous.â
âIt is vital that hotel management and tour operators ensure high hygiene standards are implemented and maintained. If they fail to do so, it is not unconceivable that further outbreaks will occur.â
