One hotel guest commented: âFood wasnt great and I suspect that is why we got ill. We lost four days of our holiday with all of us being ill.
âExtra doctors were drafted in and this news made the Daily Mirror.
âThe pools should have been shut down longer as people were ill in them, but they only shut them for an hour.â
Others have reported witnessing serious issues in the cleanliness of the Coral Sea Waterworld.
They stated: âThe place has a cleanliness problem and the management dont seem to care.
âThis problem caused a bug to spread like wildfire a couple of days into our holiday causing lots of people to go down with it, including my step-daughter.
âCutlery wasnt clean, table clothes were riddled with old food, salt shakers with food still on them from lunch, spills on the floor of the corridors not cleaned for days, old glasses and McDonalds cups left in the corridors for days at a time â the list went on and on.â

âDespite large numbers of hotel guests suffering sickness bugs and with the hotel attracting a great deal of media attention, it appears that problems regarding food and hygiene standards are unfortunately ongoing.
