Our dedicated travel law have once again learned that recent visitors of the Marconfort Beach Club Hotel have unfortunately had their getaways marred by illness.
A number of disgruntled holidaymakers have portrayed their views of the four star resort on TripAdvisor, after suffering from unpleasant cases of gastric illness during their visits.
In one of these reviews, a January 2018 visitor of the Thomas Cook promoted hotel revealed:
âI came with my mum, sister and 9 month old baby.
âUnfortunately on day 3 my sister got sick, followed by me, then my mum.
âThere is obviously an issue with sickness in the hotel so we have decided not to eat in the hotel anymore as we can’t pinpoint the cause.
âNot an ideal holiday. Just praying the baby stays well now!!â
In addition to this, it appears that unfortunately further guests of the Marconfort Beach Club Hotel have also had their visits plagued by sickness. In a post titled âAbsolutely awful, sickness and diarrhoea rifeâ, another affected visitor revealed:
âWould have given no stars if possible.
âBy Sunday afternoon we had all started feeling sickâ¦one by one we had vomiting and diarrhoea.
â[We] met other guests in our few visits out of the room that had family in hospital and [were] confined to [their] beds with this bug/food poisoning.
â[We] witnessed poor hygiene in the restaurant [at] breakfast, [there were] no staff to ensure [that] anti [bacterial] spray [was] used.
âBread at breakfast had no napkins provided to hold the bread to slice it [and] hamburgers and hotdogs were left 24/7 on a hot plate harbouring germsâ.
