Sickness and bed bugs reported at Club Magic “Strife” Imperial

Visitors to the Club Magic Life Sharm el Sheikh Imperial in Egypt have commented on the travellers’ review site TripAdvisor after sickness and infestations of bed bugs ruined their holidays at the resort.

Thomson promote the Club Magic Life Sharm el Sheikh Imperial as a ‘platinum’, five star resort. They write, “There are eight bars and a restaurant count that includes a big buffet venue and a Mediterranean inspired eatery”.

One holidaymaker reported experiencing “beds that bite” during their stay. They commented, “My biggest gripe is how my partner and I were covered in bites from the bed! The mattress has a protector but the edges of the divan were not covered and if you placed your arms, feet or legs close, you’d get bitten”.

Another guest commented that their “room was very basic and unclean”.

“After three days, I became ill – then one-by-one my entire family were ill. I was so ill, I couldn’t stand. We were visited by the onsite doctor who placed me on intravenous fluids. He told me to use the pool to cool myself down, whilst suffering a severe bout of sickness and diarrhoea!”

She further reported, “The food looked lovely – but be aware, wild birds fly in and out of the dining room, and feast too!”
