We have been contacted by a holidaymaker who became severely ill whilst staying at the Omar Khayam Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia.
The Omar Khayam Hotel is promoted and sold by Thomson Holidays amongst others.
Other holidaymakers who also stayed at the same hotel in August, 2013 commented on TripAdvisor that ´food was unfit for human consumption´ and that ´the pool was not clean and greenish in colour.´
Anne Thomson, Head of International Travel Law at YourHolidayClaims, a division of Farnworth Rose solicitors said: âOur client had her holiday ruined by illness at this hotel. There is no excuse for poor standards of food or hygiene in hotels abroad, and anyone who has had a similar experience should contact us as soon as possible.
âWe have had many complaints from holidaymakers who have suffered food poisoning and other types of gastric illness after staying at hotels in Tunisia. Anyone affected should contact us as soon as possible to discuss a no win, no fee compensation claim.â
