The Hotel Kanta in Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia has once again come under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons after a holidaymaker was struck down with severe symptoms of Salmonella and Campylobacter.
The holidaymaker who contacted us said that standards of hygiene at the hotel were ´very poor´ and that many other people were ill with ´similar symptoms of gastric illness.´
We have been instructed by holidaymakers who stayed at this hotel previously and who became ill with symptoms of diarrhoea and sickness. Their claims for compensation were ultimately successful.
Another holidaymaker who stayed at the Kanta Hotel in August said: “The food was horrible and was the same every day. I had pasta which was served with several dead flies on top.”
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday illness claim solicitor at YourHolidayClaims, said: “This is not the first time we have dealt with complaints about food and hygiene at the Kanta Hotel, and unless the tour operators act immediately to ensure nobody else is exposed to illness, it will no doubt not be the last.
“Holidaymakers who become ill in hotels abroad which are booked as part of a package holiday can claim compensation with our help when they return to the UK.”
