âWe all got sickâ: Cuban IBEROSTAR illness issues portrayed by former guests
The team at Your Holiday Claims are aware of reports of illness outbreaks affecting guests at the IBEROSTAR Laguna Azul Hotel.
Former guests have taken to TripAdvisor to report being left frustrated by their stay at the Cuban resort.
One guest claimed that âWe all got sick from the foodâ before adding that the food on offer âis prepared ahead of time with the huge number of people at buffetsâ.
Additionally, another recent holidaymaker agrees that the food on offer is a cause for concern, and claims to have also suffered from food poisoning during their stay. They further comment that they became âvery sick ⦠to the point I had to see a doctorâ.
Worryingly, the legal team here at Your Holiday Claims have dealt with illness problems at this resort before.
In the fall of 2013, we revealed how a large group of holidaymakers were left suffering from symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea and some members even had to receive hospital treatment. It then emerged that this group had all been victims of contracting salmonella food poisoning.
Furthermore, in November 2015 we were made aware of further hygiene concerns, after more guests of the resort were suffering from sickness.
Tracy Stansfield, a holiday illness lawyer at Your Holiday Claims commented: âFood poisoning shouldnt play any part in a package holiday, and protection from illness is the least that holidaymakers should expect when going on holiday.
âIn our experience, repeat outbreaks are often the result of breakdowns in food or pool hygiene and I would hope that the tour operators act swiftly to identify the source or sources of infectionâ.
Tracy finished by advising: âI would strongly urge anyone who has suffered from illness symptoms such as sickness and diarrhoea during their package holiday to seek expert legal advice, by calling us on 0330 100 2851â.
