Food poisoning outbreak reported at Caybeach Sun, Lanzarote

The stricken holidaymakers claimed that extreme diarrhoea and vomiting completely ruined their Lanzarote holiday.

Reports of alarming hygiene practices at the Thomson promoted resort are common online.

Guest have taken to review site TripAdvisor to warn potential holidaymakers.

One guest urged others to “be careful” regarding the food on offer. “It looked like some of the lunch food was reused in the evening,” they stated.

Another guest shared in these concerns and claimed that food was constantly recycled during their stay. They described a horrifying scene where “the same plates of fruit were put out everyday, which were rotting by the end of the week!”

There are also numerous comments from holidaymakers that the food served was either “cold” or “lukewarm.”
