Sickness strikes at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa

British holidaymakers have turned to industry leaders Your Holiday Claims for compensation advice after severe sickness and diarrhoea ruined their hard-earned stay at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa.

Further reports of illness can also be found on hotel review site TripAdvisor.

“My wife was sick the first 2 days of the trip due to the buffets,” comments an American holidaymaker adding that the food was “absolutely awful.”

The buffet quality is also singled out by another recent holidaymaker as a key area of concern after witnessing “multiple roaches crawling on buffet counter top, out of the Milk machine and nearby the glasses.”

The concerned guest claims that illness soon followed this experience and they report visiting the onsite nurse for “medication to help with the sickness and dehydration.”

The stricken holidaymaker believes that they were left with no option but to arrange an early flight home owing to the “unsanitary, nasty conditions” at the hotel.

Other recent holidaymakers have noted that a strong smell of “raw sewage” was present in guest bedrooms.

Your Holiday Claims have helped holidaymakers recover thousands in successful food poisoning on holiday claims. In one of our more recent successes, experienced solicitor Sue Robinson negotiated a £15,850 settlement for a salmonella stricken family of three.

Commenting on the reports of illness at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa, Sue said: “These reports make for incredibly worrying reading and highlight several areas of concern.

“Cockroaches can spread and carry a number of serious illnesses such as salmonella and E. coli. Similarly, if guests can smell raw sewage there a risk that contaminated water could be ingested or make it into the hotel food chain.

“At Your Holiday Claims we are here for you when illness strikes; I strongly advise anyone who has fallen ill at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa within the last three years to get in touch with either myself or the dedicated holiday illness team to see if you can make a compensation claim.”
