Widespread illness affects multiple recent visitors of the Hotel Rosamar
- Many Christmas and New Year getaways to the Spanish resort apparently ruined by the outbreaks
- Food and restaurant hygiene held accountable for the illnesses
- Some guests slam tour operator TUIs for their handling of the ordeal
A number of online reports which have been made by recent guests of Benidorms Hotel Rosamar have come to the attention of the legal experts here at YourHolidayClaims.
The reports, which have been posted on TripAdvisor, suggest that multiple recent visitors of the three star resort have had their stays halted by food poisoning.
In one review, a Manchester holidaymaker who visited the resort to celebrate Christmas revealed:
âWe have stayed in Benidorm many times over the years and in many different hotels.
âWe didn’t feel [that] hygiene in [the] dining hall was the best and [service was] often very slow. More than once I picked up plates with food still stuck underneath.
âMy husband and myself were unfortunate enough to become violently sick one dayâ¦my husband suffered with diarrhoea. We also heard other people being violently sick on our landing [and] one poor person [was] actually [sick] in the lift.
âI am sure the hotel could pick up and improve on some of my comments. Especially hygiene which of course [should] be a priorityâ.
In addition to this, other recent guests of the TUI promoted resort have also revealed how they too suffered from sickness during their stay. In a review titled âBeware of the foodâ, another poster claimed:
â[I] stayed at the Rosamar Hotel between 4th – 8th January. This was a Xmas present my wife & I bought ourselves.
âThe food was very poor in my opinion. All the âHOTâ food was warm/cold & not cooked properly, food choice was repetitious & [the] replenishment of the food was very slow.
âAs a result of this I suffered with mild food poisoning having stomach issues on a regular basis during my stay, but my wife was violently ill on our final night suffering from vomiting & diarrhoea.
âBefore this happened we both said to each other we would come back to this hotel but after this it would be a NOâ.
Our experts view
âIt is very worrying to witness the sheer amount of reviews which are being made by former visitors of the Hotel Rosamar, which are all pointing towards the same issues.
âDue to the number of holidaymakers that have been affected, I would think that a major breakdown in food hygiene has occurred at this resort. It is now pivotal that the correct protocols are put into place to ensure that further guests do not suffer the same fate.
âIf poor levels of hotel hygiene have contributed towards an illness that you suffered on holiday, then we may be able to help.
âContact either myself or another dedicated member of the YourHolidayClaims travel law team ow to discover whether or not you can make a no win no fee claim for holiday illness compensationâ.
