Guests report no water, sewage issues and illness at Royalton White Sands

Marketed as perfect for a destination wedding, the Thomson Platinum Royalton White Sands appears to have left guests decidedly blue as recent travellers report shocking lapses in hygiene standards on TripAdvisor.

In a particularly alarming report, one guest who stayed at the complex in October 2016, states that access to running water to clean was a real issue at the hotel:


“In the end people were worried about sanitation, health and safety and general hygiene as there was no hot water to wash with.

“Some days there was no water at all, which brought to question how they were cleaning the dishes/cutlery etc. Let alone washing salad. Very worrying.”

Food hygiene has also been highlighted as cause for concern by another October guest who states that a “lot of the people in our party had diarrhoea or were sick to our stomachs while at the resort I believe from the food.”

Other recent guests have commented that a smell of sewage was clearly discernible throughout the 352-room resort with one holidaymaker claiming that “we’d return to our room to find faeces floating around the toilet, not ours may I add.”
