Holidaymakers disclose details of “disaster” stays at the Magic Aqua Rock Gardens hotel

Multiple former guests of the First Choice promoted resort have detailed the experiences of their visits on website TripAdvisor, including one frustrated poster who revealed:

“We visited [from] the 24th September to the 1st October.

“We saved for this holiday for 18 months and my dear 82 year old father gave the remaining money for my 50th birthday.

“The restaurant looks great but that’s where it ends. On 2 occasions I ended up with raw meat from the grill.

“My husband loves fish/ seafood and on our 4th day he got food poisoning. I discreetly went to inform reception who declared it wasn’t possible, yet we were all inclusive we didn’t eat or drink anywhere else… it is now a week later and his stomach cramps have just stopped.

“This place should be avoided at all costs!!!!! We saved for such a long time for this holiday nightmare!!”

In addition to this, other holidaymakers have decided to comment on the low hygienic standards that they witnessed during their stay at the resort. One September 2017 visitor posted:

“I have rated this hotel a 1* due to the ongoing sewage smell from our hotel bathroom.

“Despite speaking to reception on 2 occasions and logging a formal complaint the matter was not sorted.

“All of the party suffered with nausea and I actually suffered from severe vomiting on the last night”.
