Here at Your Holiday Claims we have received concerning reports of illness outbreaks at Coral Sea Waterworld in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The expansive hotel and waterpark, promoted by Thomson Holidays, has been subject to several reports of unsatisfactory hygiene standards in recent weeks.
A recent guest of the hotel compared the restaurant service to âschool dinnersâ and commented on TripAdvisor: âGuests picking up cakes then putting them back down! Yuk! People not using the tongs and leaving lids open for flies to land on them!â
Another disgruntled returning visitor commented: âWhilst we were there we noticed a significant drop in the standard of food in comparison to our previous visit.â
âThe chicken I got there was pink inside which immediately put me off. Flies all over the place flying about all the open buffet.â
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âIt is very worrying to read reports of undercooked pink chicken being served to guests at Coral Sea Waterworld.
âWhen served undercooked, chicken and other poultry pose a very high risk of causing food poisoning leading to suffering unpleasant symptoms of illness.â
âIt is essential for the hotel and tour operators to have appropriate food safety practices in place to prevent outbreaks of illness from occurring.â
