It has become evident to the YHC team that an outbreak of Legionnaires disease has forced the temporary closure of Majorcas Hotel Don Bigote.
Those affected by the ordeal at the Jet 2 Holidays promoted resort have left comments on website Trip Advisor describing their visits, including one former guest who revealed:
âThis hotel is a no go, I cannot add 0 stars.
âThey have Legionnaires disease in the taps as we [were] moved to another hotel for “security” reasons.
âThey have no clue what they are doing or saying. The staff said there was nothing wrong with the room water but then couldn’t explain why they were moving us.
âIt is disgraceful. There [have] been 5 people since September with the disease and they have known about it, [yet] they are still taking bookings.
âNo apologies [were] given and we had to find out [that] we are moving [from] other holidaymakers. DO NOT BOOKâ.
On top of this, unfortunately others have commented on how the Legionnaires outbreak ruined their holiday. One October 2017 visitor of the three star hotel posted:
âThis hotel is a joke! The staff [have known] about the Legionnaires disease [outbreak] since August!
âAfter I asked staff if it was safe to take my baby of 6months into the pool⦠[I] find out it wasnt safe!
âAvoid this hotel!! [I] wouldnt even give the hotel 1 starâ.
