Guests label the Excellence Playa Mujeres as a “terrible” resort following their stay

Cancun’s Excellence Playa Mujeres is marketed by UK tour operators Thomson and First Choice, and is supposed to offer an “ultra-all-inclusive dining scene”.

However reports from holidaymakers on hotel review website TripAdvisor portray the Mexican resort in a very different light.

Numerous holidaymakers have taken to the website to convey their opinions, and one poster in particular referred to the Excellence Playa Mujeres as a “terrible resort”.

Furthermore this recent guest of the resort continued by sarcastically commenting “Thanks for making me sick”.

They continued: “We visited the resort for my wife’s cousins wedding. Unfortunately we missed the wedding due to me being in the hospital due to contaminated food from the resort”.

In addition to this, another hotel guest revealed how they suffered from food poisoning during their stay.

“I was in my room for two days with food poisoning, I was vomiting, had diarrhoea and suffered cold sweats and chills for four days”.

On top of this, one couple who stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres to celebrate their honeymoon labelled the Mexican resort as “horrific”.

They went on to explain: “What happened was extremely unexpected, unacceptable and ruined the remainder of our trip – we got in our bed and noticed blood stains over our bed sheets, this was NOT our blood and we were terrified”.

Another dismayed poster also complained: “Based on everything, I want my money back, we can’t get the time back and the resort was not what we expected”.
