At Your Holiday Claims we have recently received an enquiry from a British holidaymaker who was hospitalised during their stay at the Club Hotel Tonga in Majorca.
After travelling to the hotel in August 2014 the holidaymaker suffered symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea, resulting in being placed on a drip.
Others have complained of suffering âsickness bugsâ during their stay at the Club Hotel Tonga through the hotel review website TripAdvisor.
A visitor to the hotel from Hull stated: âThe four of us got a sickness bug and were in bed for two days.
âIt made us feel so poorly. My grandson took three days before he would eat anything. Told the staff but there was very little joy there.â
One holidaymaker from Buckinghamshire commented: âI went with my husband and two teenage sons who caught a sickness bug which knocked them off their feet for four days which is a disappointment when you only go for eight nights.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented on the reports: âWe are concerned to hear of holidaymakers requiring hospital treatment as a result of falling ill at the Club Hotel Tonga.
âWe are currently receiving enquiries from British holidaymakers who have had their hard earned holidays at the Club Hotel Tonga ruined by illness.
âIt is our hope that the tour operators and hotel management will carry out a full investigation into the current food and hygiene standards in order to prevent any further spread of illness.
âI would urge anyone who has suffered a holiday illness at the Club Hotel Tonga to contact our expert holiday claims team for advice on the merits of making a claim for compensation.â
