Mexican holiday at the Now Sapphire Riviera affected by illness

We have recently received an enquiry from a family who fell ill during their all-inclusive stay at the Now Sapphire Riviera in Cancun.

Two members of a party were struck down with chronic illness during their two-week stay, which resulted in them being unable to leave the hotel.

This follows reports of illness at the resort which were documented on TripAdvisor. One guest said: “Beautiful resort but horrible food and service. It looks lovely when you arrive but then the reality sets in. Within 24-48 hours everyone in our group began to get ill.

“Couldnt figure out what was doing it as everyone was so careful with the water etc. Be careful, after a week back at home everyone is still sick and having to receive medical treatment”.

In recent weeks, we have been contacted by holidaymakers who were struck by illness at another Cancun destination. A couple who had stayed at the Hideaway Royalton in Cancun who both affected by illness thought to be caused by cold food.
