Your Holiday Claims has been contacted by a holidaymaker whose stay at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in Egypt was ruined by symptoms including diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
After visiting the local pharmacy they became aware of a number of other guests who had experienced similar symptoms at the Thomas Cook promoted hotel.
We previously reported on cases of illness at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in May 2014. At this time, a newlywed couple celebrating their honeymoon had reported being left with no hot water for days at the hotel.
Just 3 months later, holidaymakers were commenting on TripAdvisor after falling âseverely ill with food poisoningâ.
In recent weeks, guests have taken to TripAdvisor after their âtwo children had bad stomach crampsâ at the hotel.
They added, âAll the guests I spoke to had experienced similar issues. It is a desperate shame this hotel doesnt take food hygiene seriously.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor, commented: âWe are once again hearing of outbreaks of illness at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort.
âThe further reports of poor food hygiene at the hotel is concerning. If food is served undercooked or lukewarm, there is a risk that holidaymakers may be affected by serious illness.
âI would encourage anyone who has fallen ill during their stay at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort to contact myself or a member of the expert team at Your Holiday Claims for advice on the merits of making a no win no fee claim.â
