At Your Holiday Claims we are reading reports of holiday illness at the Sharm Plaza in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
Many have commented on the conditions at the Sharm Plaza through the hotel review website TripAdvisor.
A hotel guest from Bolton commented: âThe food in this hotel is awful. Its disgusting. Me and my partner ended up ordering pizza hut for tea as the food was that bad.
âOn top of all that we were very ill for the first week â upset stomachs, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Had to get medicine from the pharmacy which was also a rip off.â
Another holidaymaker who had travelled to the Sharm Plaza for their honeymoon stated that they also required medical attention as a result of their illness.
They said: âUnfortunately I had severe abdominal cramps and diarrhoea for two and a half days.
âI bought medications from the pharmacy for £15 a strip and they did nothing. This spoilt the beginning of my honeymoon.
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, commented on the reports of illness: âWe are currently reading numerous reports online from British holidaymakers who have fallen ill on holiday at the Sharm Plaza.
âI would urge anyone who has suffered a holiday illness at the Sharm Plaza to contact us as soon as possible. If the illnesses were caused as a result of fault on the part of the hotel, a holidaymaker is entitled to claim compensation for the illness suffered, the lost days of the holiday and any out of pocket expenses which may have been incurred as a result of the illness.â
