“Large numbers” affected by sickness bugs at the Perdikia Hill in Turkey

Visitors to the Perdikia Hill reported having their holidays ruined after being struck by sickness bugs during their stay.

One holidaymaker informed us that their group of seven family members contracted suspected gastroenteritis.  This resulted in two members of their party requiring hospital treatment after experiencing projectile vomiting.

The lady commented: “The hotel and tour operators definitely tried to hide the severity of the mystery illness and the large numbers affected.

“The illness had been around for weeks before we travelled, sadly we didnt know until we were struck down.

“Our holiday was totally ruined, our group of seven all got very ill and two of our party were hospitalised due to severe gastroenteritis and projectile vomiting.”

Others at the Perdikia Hill have commented on the sickness bug through the hotel review website TripAdvisor.

A hotel guest from Newcastle upon Tyne stated: “The second day we witnessed an ambulance which had apparently taken another bug victim to hospital, there had also been one the previous day.

“We asked at reception how worried we should be about the bug but he totally denied anything about ambulances or bugs going around. We had spoken to a few other guests who had been quite poorly with it or who knew of other people who were quite bad with it.”
