Outbreaks of illness bring misery to Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa

A party of eight British holidaymakers have reached out to industry leaders Your Holiday Claims wishing to pursue a claim for holiday illness in Mexico after their five-star stays at Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa were ruined by illness.

The afflicted guests claim to have suffered from severe ear infections thought to be caused by dirty swimming pool water. The severity of the infection led to one member of the party receiving hospital care in the resort.

Review site TripAdvisor is awash with reports of illness at the new for 2015 resort.

“Whole party became ill,” comments a July 2016 guest adding that suspected food poisoning was the cause of their suffering.

Alarmingly, the Birmingham holidaymaker claims that she is still suffering from repeat illness symptoms, weeks after the close of her ruined holiday and has been unable to return to work.

Another recent guest advises others to “please be careful of the food” after contracting confirmed cyclospora food poisoning at the resort. The Livingston holidaymaker states that they “spoke to many different people at the hotel who like us, were suffering severe stomach cramps and generally feeling unwell.”
