Recent guests of the Riu Naiboa warn others to stay away from the Dominican resort
- The four star resort has recently been reported to have been riddled by illness
- Guests highly critical of the hotel managements handling of complaints
- You could be eligible to make a claim if you have fallen ill on a package holiday for at least seven days!
Whilst looking into possible outbreaks of illness at a number of all-inclusive resorts, the YHC team have recently discovered a number of alarming claims that have been made by former visitors of the Riu Naiboa.
Numerous angered holidaymakers have taken to the website TripAdvisor to convey their frustration after falling ill at the TUI promoted hotel, including January 2018 guest who posted:
âI am so disappointed in this hotel my family and I will never go back!!! We travel often and this place is the worst Ive ever been to.
âMost of my family got sick with diarrhoea because its (the hotel) so unsanitary and dirty. The chicken still had blood in, it was not cooked good. [We] told the cook he did nothing about it. The food is always the same day after day after day.
âHonestly go somewhere else, do not go to this hotel. I hope Ive helped someone with this review I wouldnt want anyone to go through what we went throughâ.
Unfortunately it seems as though this former visitor of the RIU Naiboa is not the only one to have suffered from gastric illness during their stay, and another recent guest revealed:
âBreakfast [is] definitely the best meal of the day there is lots of choice for all meals but unfortunately doesn’t taste great.
âThere was 5 of us in our party and we all suffered [from] D & V (diarrhoea & vomiting) and stomach cramps for 4 days or more.
âAfter 9 days wed all had enough and tried to get flights home but as we couldn’t get seats for us all we all stayed. [We are] so pleased to get home thoughâ.
Comments from our legal specialist
âIt is largely concerning to learn of the recent reports that have emerged from the Riu Naiboa.
âWhen hygiene standards at hotels start to slip there is a real chance of guests becoming unwell.
âTherefore I would urge the hotel management to look into these claims to find out what could have caused the illness, and to rectify any hygiene issues to prevent the possibility of future outbreaks.
âIf you have fallen victim to illness during package holiday in the Dominican Republic, I would encourage you contact our team to see if you can launch a claim for compensationâ.
