A guest has been in touch seeking legal advice from the team at Your Holiday Claims after falling ill whilst on holiday at the Holiday Village Seaview Ibiza.
The holidaymaker said that two out of three members of their party were struck down with sickness and diarrhoea during their stay.
Other visitors to the resort have taken to TripAdvisor to review the hotel and have complained about the food being served.
One guest said it was “well below what I expected” and added: “Food very poor, worst I’ve had in 6 years. Never got anything hot, barely warm, yet regularly chilled food just left on trays not chilled.”
Another visitor said the resort was “more like a 2 star”, commenting: “When we arrived in our room there were ants and other insects in our beds, human hair in the bed and green mould growing on the wall.”
Yet another guest said that their stay left them feeling “conned”, stating: “The food in the hotel was plentiful but was of poor quality and although we paid £5,000 for this all-inclusive holiday we also spent £1,000 eating out as we just couldn’t stomach the food in the hotel’s restaurant which was bland and never hot.”
Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, Anne Thomson, said: “When hotels serve food that is cold or undercooked there is a risk of guests becoming seriously unwell.
“I hope that this resort will look into the concerns raised by guests about the food being served and take steps to ensure that this is not a cause of illness.”
