Family getaways reportedly halted by illness at the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames
- Multiple former guests of the Dominican hotel claim to have had their holidays ruined by illness
- Those affected suffer from distressing symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea
- Some claim to be still feeling the effects of their illness after returning home
Our legal experts are concerned over a potential illness outbreak which has apparently swept through the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino and Aquagames resort in recent weeks.
Recent visitors of the five star complex have posted on how their hard earned getaways have been ruined on TripAdvisor, including one February 2018 guest who revealed:
âUpon entry to two out of the three rooms, a very musty, unpleasant odour overwhelmed us. There were black mould patches throughout the rooms, especially in the ground floor room. The rooms were downright disgusting: dirty, outdated, a health hazard, and not acceptable.
âIn addition to experiencing several inconveniences and battles at check in, my sister fell quite ill on the second day of vacation.
âShe was in bed a full day and a half experiencing frequent vomiting and diarrhoea. She can only suspect food poisoning from the buffet food.
âThis caused her to miss out on almost two days of our vacation. The rest of the adults experienced gastrointestinal issues off and on, some of us still experiencing the effects post vacationâ.
Furthermore, alarmingly additional visitors of the hotel have also claimed to have been struck by illness during their stays. In a post simply titled âNot as expectedâ, another disgruntled holidaymaker posted:
âWe travelled to the DR with 2 other families, 6 adults and 5 kids in total, we all had our own rooms, we all stayed on the Cocotal side.
âThe food was not well cooked, it was either overcooked or undercooked, we were served very undercooked chicken from the meat carving station in the main buffet, and half of our group ended up vomiting and all of our group except 1 had diarrhoeaâ.
Our legal specialists take
âIt appears from current reports that numerous holidaymakers have unfortunately fallen ill at the Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino and Aquagames. It is always disappointing to hear of holidays being ruined by illness.
âAs always, I would encourage anyone whos been hit by illness on holiday to seek expert legal advice as they may be able to make a claim for holiday illness compensation.
âI would also hope that the tour operator will be active in undertaking an investigation to ensure that further guests are not affected.â
