At Your Holiday Claims we have recently received an enquiry from a British holidaymaker whose family fell ill during their stay at the Hi Bouganvilla Park.
The family was hospitalised for two days after being diagnosed with gastroenteritis and dehydration.
The family continued to suffer from the illness and missed their flights home after experiencing symptoms including severe vomiting and diarrhoea.
Others have commented on TripAdvisor, describing the facilities at the Hi Bouganvilla Park as “dirty” and “filthy”.
One hotel guest stated that their child contracted an “ear infection” during their stay, thought to be linked to the condition of the hotel’s swimming pool.

“Requiring hospital treatment and missing flights as a result of an illness obviously causes a great deal of stress.
“I hope that the tour operators and hotel management investigate the reports of illness in order to prevent any further cases arising.
“I would urge anyone who has fallen ill during their stay to contact myself or a member of the holiday claims team. If the illnesses were caused as a result of some fault on the part of the hotel you are entitled to claim compensation for the illness you suffered, the lost days of your holiday and any out of pocket expenses incurred as a result of your illness.”
