Guests level illness complaints against Hotel Hesperia Lanzarote
British holidaymakers have contacted Your Holiday Claims reporting to have fallen ill at the Puerto Calero resort, Hotel Hesperia Lanzarote.
Recent reviews on TripAdvisor suggest that a number of guests have been struck by illness.
One June 2016 holidaymaker claims that they became “very ill” during their stay adding that both “undercooked very weird tasting chicken” and “dirty” water were possible sources of infection.
Another recent guest states that his “wife threw up after eating the scrambled egg in the buffet restaurant.”
“The food is shocking and I’ll pretty much anything … very repetitive … [with] the previous night’s leftovers for breakfast.”
Reports of food being served “cold” and cockroaches in guest bedrooms are also common online.
