Providing your holiday to Portugal was booked as part of a package and directly with a tour operator, the Package Travel Regulations 1992 entitles holidaymakers to make a claim for compensation against their tour operator for illnesses or injuries arising from a package holiday destination.
You also have three years in which you are entitled to claim compensation for sickness on holiday, providing you have reasonable grounds and evidence to support your claim.
